Hunter Wade joined Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in the Spring of 2025 as a Security Consultant. In this role, he performs penetration testing, finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in client infrastructure, as well as working with occasional software development and infrastructure projects. Previously, Hunter worked for the Madison Cyber Lab at DSU and did offensive security assessments for South Dakota cities, counties, and municipalities. He chose BHIS because he admired their quality of work and aspired to perform at that level. He says the best part is the work flexibility and the amazing people on the team. Outside of work, Hunter can be found building and maintaining his home lab, toying with malware analysis, and playing guitar.
