Allison Cox joined Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in June 2025 as Wild West Hackin’ Fest Administrator (WWHF) Admin. In this role, she is Alison Walk’s sidekick and helps with hotel reservations for WWHF, and other duties as assigned by her, John, and Erica. Previously, Allison worked with several government contractors for 40 years. She was a Buyer, Contracts Administrator, and Subcontracts Manager. Interesting fact, she and her husband, CJ, worked with John Strand 20 years ago at Northrop Grumman! Most recently, she was a Subcontracts Manager with Sierra Nevada Company (SNC) – No, not the beer company 😊– for 8 years and worked multiple programs that did aircraft modifications for the government. She retired from SNC in May 2025. She chose BHIS after she retired as her husband did not want her to get bored! When she was asked to help part time, she said, “Sure!” What excites her the most is that she can work from home or anywhere she goes, and at any time of day/evening. She loves the energy of BHIS and likes attending WWHF to help wherever she can. Outside of work, Allison can be found camping, skiing, beach-ing, and mountain cabin-ing.
