Chris Sullo joined Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in early 2024 as a Security Consultant. Chris has over 30 years of information security work experience including as a leader of penetration testing services, a researcher with SPI Dynamics/HP, Head of Innovation at ProjectDiscovery, and various technical security roles with Capital One Bank. He is the author of the open source “Nikto” web server security assessment tool, which has been a top-rated free security tool since 2001. He is the founder of the RVAsec conference & community, was a board member and leader of the Open Source Vulnerability Database (OSVDB) project, and co-founder of the OSVDB related Open Security Foundation non-profit. Chris has achieved multiple technology and security related certifications including the CISSP.
