Kiersten Gross is a Security Engineer at Black Hills Information Security (BHIS). He joined the team in 2021 as a SOC Operator, where he focused on log analysis and attack identification before transitioning into a security engineering role. Today, Kiersten builds and maintains internal tooling to streamline operations and strengthen the team’s capabilities. He enjoys leveraging programming to tackle complex challenges when the situation calls for it.
Kiersten chose BHIS because they are trailblazers in the industry and he believes that the work done at BHIS contributes to the community. He loves that he gets to live in his small hometown while still being a part of the tech industry. Outside of work, Kiersten enjoys hunting, going to archery shoots as an amateur competitor, and Annie Oakley trapshooting (shotguns).
