Kelli Tarala joined the team at Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in Fall of 2023 as Principal Consultant. In this role, she (in her words) “makes governance, risk, and compliance sexy again.” Kelli’s career has spanned from the mid-90s in a research laboratory exchanging manual typewriters with Windows PCs, to decades spent in roles such as senior network architect, IT project manager, manager of corporate technology, and senior enterprise security engineer, as well as co-founding Enclave Security in 2008. She says she chose BHIS because honor, integrity, and ethics are the foundations of the company, making it top-notch in cybersecurity. When she’s not working, Kelli can be found enjoying life outdoors 一 running, snorkeling, or paddle boarding 一 as well as reading a lot of books.
