Madeleine Songer began working for Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) as a Content & Community Intern in February 2020. Currently, in the midst of her senior year at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), Madeleine found her role at BHIS while seeking a spring internship and fell in love with her position as part of the Content & Community Team. Responsible for multiple administrative tasks, one of her first projects was creating the Backdoors & Breaches Visual Guide, an invaluable resource for the security community. Prior to transitioning to BHIS, Madeleine worked as a lifeguard, lessons instructor, and coach. Outside of her time at work and varsity swim practice, Madeleine enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, going to the beach, playing with her yellow labs, and spending time with friends and family.
